Learn the Andean sacred arts from the comfort of home.

Learn to engage consciously with the world of living energy. Discover how to bring coherence to your own mystical body to further your conscious evolution. Deepen your connection to yourself to more gracefully and joyously share yourself and your gifts with the world. Live more passionately and grandly as both a spirit being and a human being. These are the promises of Andean mysticism if you apply yourself to its practices. And they are real.

In this three-month Foundation Training in Andean Mysticism, we receive the mystical gifts Andean paqos so freely share. They say these teachings are for all of humanity. Yet, there is no single, universal Andean mystical tradition. The teachings are shaped by paqo lineage and each paqo’s personal focus and expertise. We are fortunate that the two lineages and three master paqos on whose teaching this course is based passed on the grand sweep of the tradition: what are called the paña (right side), chaupi (middle), and lloq’e (left-side) teachings. So you receive the entirety of the tradition in one course.

We meet weekly on Tuesdays for 3-hour sessions online on the free Zoom conferencing platform. You will learn both the promises of this graceful and powerful energy tradition and to apply the practices to realize its promises. As I and scores of my students can attest, it works. But your mishas compressed IMG_4625results are proportional to the quality of your commitment. This is the great law of the tradition—ayni, or the law of reciprocity.

In the Foundation Training we cover almost all of the material that is covered in an in-person training, from the energy practices to the misha to the karpays. The training is in three parts. Please see the tab “Learn the Andean Sacred Arts” for greater details about each aspect of the training. Generally, this is the tradition presented as purely as possible to how the masters of old taught it, as passed on to me from my primary teacher Don Juan Nuñez del Prado. It is presented from the perspective of the fourth level, which is a stance not of rote learning but of personal energy artistry. As an overview, you will learn:

  • The right-side paña training (6 weeks), which is the mystical and yachay (energetic perception and knowledge) aspects of the tradition through the teachings of Don Benito Qoriwaman Vargas. This covers the energy cosmology in detail and all the fundamental energy practices, including the core heavy-energy releasing practices of saminchakuy and hucha miqhuy, and the empowering practice of saiwachakuy.
  • The middle path of munay (3 weeks), called the chaupi, which covers the teachings of Q’ero master Don Andres Espinosa. In this section we weave the chunpis (belts of power) and awaken the ñawis (mystical eyes), as well as learn how to move and tune energy through our energy body. We learn to actually generate munay (love) and hampi munay (healing) energies, and to be self-sufficient in willka, the sacred black light energy.
  • The left-side lloq’e training (3 weeks), which is the magical and llank’ay (using energy to take action in the world) aspects of the tradition through the teachings of don Melchor Desa. Here we work deep within our mystical body and we establish a relationship with our eight helper spirits and work with them. We seed ourselves to evolve to 6th-level beings and to increase the love, joy, and well-being within ourselves and that we can bring to all aspects of our lives.

don-martin-apaza-1-cropped-compressedFoundation Training classes are on Tuesdays, from 1 pm – 4 pm Eastern time US. What Past Students Have Said About the Online Training:

“I am so glad that I took Joan’s Andean Mysticism Foundation Training course. I have worked with others who teach from an Andean perspective. I thought I knew a lot about it. Joan’s course opened my eyes. It completely revolutionized what I know and how I think about the Q’ero and other mystics from the Andes. I couldn’t believe that there was so much more to learn and understand. Joan’s course is unparalleled in its depth and breadth of teaching. She is a committed and passionate teacher who is working diligently to get this knowledge out into the world. I have already signed up for several of her other classes. If you have any interest in Andean energy practices, Joan’s Foundation Training is literally the foundational course that you need to take.” — B.M.

“Joan’s Foundation Training is a rare and intimate immersion into mystical Andean wisdom—much of which is lost even to many modern-day practitioners. The depth and breadth of her teachings span energy practices, expanded awareness, and ways of being that could easily overwhelm in lesser hands. But Joan, drawing from decades of direct experience and lineage-based learning, holds the space with grace, clarity, joy, and deep generosity. Her teaching is warm, grounded, and infused with lived wisdom and humility. One of the most impactful teachers I’ve worked with—this training is a gift. I couldn’t recommend it more.”  — A.S.

“The online Andean training and the Masters training with Joan were more enriching and empowering than I could have imagined. I loved Joan’s faithfulness to preservation of the lineage as it was taught to her, and her clear and pragmatic approach is so refreshing. I feel like I gained so many valuable tools as well as an empowered perspective that comes from choosing a path of personal responsibility. Every class was absolutely packed with fascinating knowledge and practical energetic tools alongside fascinating stories. Joan is so incredibly knowledgeable and creates a captivating and engaging class environment. I will listen to the class [recordings] again and again and confidently look forward to increasing my personal energetic coherence and refining the ayni that I engage the cosmos with.”   — J.H.

“The [online] course on the Andean cosmovision with Joan Parisi Wilcox has been extraordinary. She was able to share with us some very special teachings from elders of the Andean mystical traditions. In twelve years of study of these ways, I had not experienced many of the teachings and exercises before or in this same fashion. Joan seeks to share the teachings as true and authentically to their roots as possible. And clarifies the lineage from which they come. Joan teaches with wisdom, clarity, integrity and thoroughness. It was an honor and a privilege to work with Joan.”  — D.P.

If you are viewing this testimonial, it is likely that you are considering taking classes from Joan. I am here to say—just do it! I started with Joan in 2008 in reading her book Masters of the Living Energy: The Mystical World of the Q’ero of Peru. In truth, I have read it seven times! There is so much information in that book! I have lived in Peru since 2011, and still I take her classes, and still I learn from her. She does such phenomenal research—she manages to uncover things I have not yet learned from being here [in Peru] all these years. I have taken many of her online classes, from the Foundation Training to the Master Class and all of the Deep-Dive classes, and I can honestly say Joan’s teachings are 100% worth your time and money if you want to dive deeply into Andean mysticism. She teaches in a style that I can learn from! In the Andes, you are expected to learn through osmosis, or expected to spend a lifetime learning these practices. I am not going to say that they are an easy weekend course—but if you go with Joan, you are going to learn much more than you can imagine and even more than you would learn while you are in Peru. Do it before you come to Peru—it will enhance your experience immeasurably!” — L.M.S.

“Joan’s classes have been a life changer for me. I have been through many apprenticeships with different teachers; each had their value and place in my development, but I was always left with a feeling there was more. Joan’s unique wisdom and knowledge, teaching and writing skills, as well as her deep long-term commitment to Andean mysticism, has left me with the feeling that I have found my ‘something more.’ I recommend and encourage anyone who has asked the question: ‘Is there more?’ to take Joan’s classes.”  — L.P.K.

“The teachings I have received from Joan have helped me to help others in my healing practice. She is very precise, clear, and takes the time to intellectually explain things. When Joan doesn’t know the source or something about the teachings, she is humble enough to make it known to you. She allows you to come to your own conclusions. She is one of the most humble women I have ever met. She is a living example of the teachings and how to use them to help yourself and others. She basically lives the teachings, and that is why these teachings exist and made it so far. I highly recommend Joan as a teacher and the course as a whole for self-development.”  — A.B.

man-energy-at-forehead-compressed-adobestock_60268556This three-week class is available only to those who have completed all three sections of the Foundation Training in Andean mysticism with Joan, Don Juan Nuñez del Prado, or a teacher trained by them.

In this Master Class series, you will be introduced to the work of Bolivian master Tata Lorenzo. Kawsay Puriy means “walking in a cosmos of living energy.” In this training, you will indeed be connecting with the world and cosmos of living energy, working in a new way in your life and in the world. This deep yet expansive mystical work helps you consciously evolve and step up the qanchispatañan (the Stairway of Seven Steps of conscious evolution). Among the greatest gifts of this training is feeling how tenderly yet powerfully you are supported by the entire living universe. Over these three classes, you will:

  • Seed the energies within yourself to become a teqse paqo, or universal paqo (high 4th level).
  • Work through your personal pachas (space-time realms), including your past and future, with your family and the whole of humanity, and with your life in this human world and your connection to the universe.
  • Receive support and empowerment from the entire Pachamama and Kawsay Pacha, including many cosmic “beings” such as the planets, the Milky Way galaxy, and the stars.
  • Work more deeply with your Inka Seed, ñawis, and chunpis to integrate your energies with the Taytanchis/God within and the Taytanchis/God without.
  • Empower your inner three worlds: the hanaqpacha, kaypacha and ukhupacha within your own poq’po.
  • Work with the willka energy (black light energy: the sacred, creational energy) in all your energy centers and your Inka Seed, imprinting its power throughout your mystical body. Willka energy charges you to make huge leaps in your perceptual abilities and heightens your ability to know yourself more truly and lovingly.
  • Creating an “inner Pachakuti” (transformation) and opening a “New World Age” within yourself and your life. Seeding yourself to be the person you aspire to be and live the kind of life you most grandly envision for yourself.

In essence, this work is not only about being part of the cosmos, but feeling the cosmos as a living energy within your own poq’po. It is the connection with everything. It is sending energy “ahead of yourself” to help you progress faster, cleanse yourself more deeply, and reach the higher 4th level more quickly. It is a way to be supported and empowered by the entire cosmos of living energy and the spirit beings of the cosmic and earthly realms.

The training runs for three consecutive weeks. We meet weekly for two hours each class on the  free online Zoom conferencing platform. You will be provided with audio/video recordings of each class for your private use only (via download from Dropbox). Many students who can’t meet with us live take this course through the recordings only. It easily lends itself to that form of learning.

The cost of the three-week class is a single nonrefundable payment of $230 USD. All payments are through Paypal. Space is limited.

Please note that to take this course you must have completed the three-part Foundation training in Andean mysticism with Joan, Don Juan Nuñez del Prado, or a teacher trained by them.

Deep-Dive Advanced Classes

How do you deepen your practice and knowledge of Andean mysticism? What additional important information is there that was not able to be covered because of time constraints in the Foundation Training or Master Class? How would taking a deep dive into specific aspects of the Andean mystical tradition enrich your understanding of the energy practices and help further your own personal development? The answer is a series of Advanced “Deep Dive” classes.

The Advanced Classes are one-time classes for followers of the Andean path who have taken the Foundation Series and are hungry to explore the finer points of the Andean cosmovision and energy practices. These classes are largely informational, although most also involve substantial energy work within the class and may require some at-home pre-work in preparation for the class. There are six advanced classes, each on a different topic. Most, but not all, are offered twice during the year.

  • All classes are held on a Thursday afternoon, and they run three hours, with some going a little longer depending on the subject and the vigor of class discussions. All times below are Eastern time US. Please adjust for your time zone.
  • We will meet online on the free Zoom conferencing platform.
  • Audio and video files will be provided after the class to all participants for their private use only.
  • You may participate only via the recording if your schedule or time zone doesn’t allow you to participate with us live.
  • You must have completed the three-part Foundation Training in order to take a Deep-Drive Class.

Cost, Dates, and Topics:
Each deep-dive class is three hours, and the cost of each is a single nonrefundable payment of $125 USD. All payments are through Paypal. There are date options for those classes that are offered twice a year. Choose one option.

~ What’s In a Word: Deep Dive into Quechua Mystical Terms and Concepts   1 pm – 4 pm Eastern time, $125 USD

August 6, registration deadline is July 6, 2026

In this class, we take a deep dive into the mystical lexicon of the Andean paqo tradition and its related concepts. How are the sonqo and heart different? The qosqo and belly different? What is munay suti and what does it have to do with enlightenment? How can the kutiy incantation be interpreted and how might it apply to a soul retrieval ceremony? What is the difference between being salka, willka, or purun? What is utisqa? Waylaka? We will explore the mystical vocabulary and concepts of the Andean tradition to get to the “meanings behind the meanings” in a way that will expand both our appreciation of the tradition and our personal practice in surprising ways. We will also look at non-verbal communication, such as the meanings of Q’ero weaving patterns and certain kinds of carvings on sanctuary walls.

~ Driving the Kawsay: Deep Dive into Ayni and Manifesting Intentions   1 pm – 4 pm Eastern time, $125 USD
    April 16
, registration deadline March 13, 2026
    or
    September 24, registration deadline August 14, 2026

You know you are making energetic interchanges with the living energy. You know you can accumulate personal power to drive energy to manifest desires, improve conditions in your life, and so much more. So, how are you doing? If you are not content with your ability to partner with the living universe to live possible and impossible keys show optimism and positivitythe brightest, most productive, and fulfilling life possible, then this might be the class for you. We will ask and answer such questions as, What is our actual relationship to reality? How much influence can we really have? How responsible (or not) are we for the conditions of our life? How can we drive kawsay to  manifest our desires? Together, we will drill down into the Andean cosmovision of the nature of reality, the influence of ayni interchanges, how will and intent play into these interchanges, and our overall relationship as human beings with the field of living energy. Then we will do an intense energy practice so each participant can drive the kawsay toward manifesting one of their most audacious intentions, desires, or wishes. In preparation for this practice, you will be asked to do some pre-work before the class.

~ Deep Dive into Achieving Holy Relationships   1 pm – 4 pm Eastern time, $125 USD
    December 10, registration deadline November 6, 2026

How many of us currently have, or have had in the past, a “holy” relationship, one of deep and abiding respect, caring, understanding, and reciprocity? The answer most likely is that few of us have experienced this kind of highly refined relationship. They are rare, because while most of us aspire to such holy relationships, we don’t know what it takes to actually achieve them (or sustain them). The truth for most of us is that we are thankful enough when our relationships are okay or even great. But holy? That’sTwo love hearts in being protected in a nest. Conceptual design probably a pipe dream. Except that it isn’t! The Andean tradition, in combination with wisdom from other traditions, including modern psychology, provides both a template for what a holy relationship looks and feels like and a roadmap for achieving this level of highly self-aware interaction. Our deep dive into holy relationships is based on the little known “stairway” of relationships—the qanchispatañan of relational energy—which parallels the qanchispatañan of the seven stages of personal human consciousness. Once we understand what each step up this relational stairway requires, we will see that while it isn’t an easy journey to reach a holy relationship, it is absolutely possible. This class requires pre-work that will be used in class for an energy practice that will help us raise the vibration of one our most valued but not fully developed personal relationships.

~ Deep Dive: All About the Despacho (Haywarisqa)   1 pm – 4 pm Eastern time, $125 USD
    May 14, registration deadline April 3, 2026
    or
    October 8, registration deadline September 4, 2026

Because of time constraints in the Foundation Training, we don’t go into the nuances of the despacho (haywarisqa in Quechua), which is the “sacrament” of the Andes. In this class we take a deep dive into Qero despacho qoricocha lake IMG_4245 compressedaspects of the despacho that most people never hear about or don’t consider. While the despacho is the most common ritual performed in the Andes, it is rarely ever “just” a ritual offering. It is, as I like to put it, an externalization of our internal state and of our personal relationship with the living universe. The despacho is the great teacher of ayni, and we will examine the many ways it helps us develop ourselves as we learn to practice ayni with greater integrity and power. We will explore how the despacho is a kind of teaching about the unfolding revelation of ourselves and the flowering of our Inka Seed. Beyond the philosophical understanding of the despacho, we will look at the more technical aspects of making one. There are all kinds of despachos, and we want to choose the style, organization, and design of our despacho that best expresses our intent. We will not actually make a despacho together in class, but we will take a deep dive into the fourth-level perspective of many different kinds of despachos, which will be sure to expand your understanding and vision of what making and offering a despacho means.

~ Deep Dive: Willka: The Black Light Energy  1 pm – 4 pm Eastern time, $125 USD
    April 30, registration deadline March 20, 2026

Both black light and white light have been claimed by spiritual traditions as being the originating energy of creation. Over the centuries, both organized religions and mystical/shamanic traditions have wrestled with this question. Theblack andwhite eclipse - Pixabay 33019_1920 two forms of spirituality tend to come down on opposite sides of the debate about which is the “holy” light—the white light or the black light. The choice rests in part of how these two forms of light were viewd: as sacred or as dangerous. In the Andes, willka—black light energy—suffers from the same split. It is sacred, even holy. It is dangerous, even deadly.

We will look at the way black-light enery and white-light energy have been seen as oppositional both by spiritual traditions and many Andeans. Then we will focus on how the black-light energy, called willka, was viewed and used by Andean paqos. They did not provide many teachings about the willka energy, but it was a vital energy to them and to the Inkas. In fact, the entire Inka Empire was surrounded by sources of willka. And we know that when we weave the chunpis (belts of power) into our mystical and physical bodies, we are intentionally generating willka inside ourselves so that we have our own repository of black-light energy to draw upon. Why do we do that? How do we use this willka energy? In this class, we will explore all of these question and more with the intent of not only better understanding willka, but of using it.  There will be pre-work for this class, and a major in-class energy practice to work with a source of willka outside of ourselves and another source within ourselves. Our purpose in this energy exercise is to use this most powerful creational, healing energy either to transform a heaviness within that we have not yet in our lives been able to heal or release, or to power the manfiestation of a desire or dream that we think it may be impossible to achieve. Through working with willka, we also get a touch of the fifth-level energy of the tukuy hampeq, the total healer.

~ Deep Dive: The Misha (Mesa)  1 pm – 4 pm Eastern time, $125 USD
    June 4, registration deadline May 8, 2026
    or
   November 19
, registration deadline October16, 2026

This is not a class about doing things the way everyone else does. This is a fourth-level approach of pure mishas compressed IMG_4625personal energy artistry with your misha. There is nothing so intimate to paqos as their misha. And although you may already feel a close connection with your misha, after this class you are likely to experience a more profound and precious ayni relationship with it.

While this deep-dive class covers a variety of misha forms across geographic regions of the Andes and what goes into creating and using a misha (from the fourth level of energy artistry), it is mostly a deeply personal experiential exploration of your own relationship to your misha as both a living “presence” in its own right and a representation of personal power. You will be asked to have three specific types of khuyas (items sacred to you) for your misha, although their form and meaning will be personal to you. We will work with them during the in-class energy exercise. If you have a Q’ero mestana as your misha cloth, I will also offer an interpretation of the design’s meaning.

You must have completed the Foundation Training with Joan, Don Juan Nuñez del Prado, or a teacher trained by them to take a deep-dive advanced class. For more information about a class or to register for a class, please email Joan at QentiWasi@gmail.com.

What past participants have said about the various deep-dive classes:

“Joan overdelivers again! I found the Willka deep-dive class amazing and beyond what I imagined from the description. It will take the floor out from under you and give you a whole new understanding of what is possible with Andean practices. Experienced students will find this knowledge and [the in-class] practice reorients them to the limitless possibilities of paqo work.  Highly recommended.”   — K.M.

“I loved, loved, loved, the Misha deep-dive class. I now feel anchored by my misha. And through it, I see my Inka/Qoya Seed and all of my potential; I see myself much more clearly.” — A.B.

“I still get excited about new offerings because of Joan’s willingness to share everything she has learned through her many years study. Joan’s Quechua Mystical Terminology class and Driving the Kawsay class are great explorations after her Foundation and Master class series. Every class by Joan includes a very generous amount of information and is priced well below what I would consider the actual value for the knowledge shared. If you are curious what you could learn from her many decades of study of this path, then take all of her classes!  She is a sweet, brilliant teacher.”  — C.B.

The Despacho Deep-Dive Class . . . I have been doing despachos in a haphazard way for three years (though of course through the best of intentions) but with this class, I now have direction, a deeper sense of where to go with them, and for exactly what purpose, and why. Thank you so much, Joan. I feel like I have a map.”  — C.M.

“I recently took Joan’s Holy Relationships class and I am so glad I did! The class was amazing! Joan is always so honest, organized, and thoughtful. You can tell that she has put a lot of time into thinking about and developing the class. This class really put many Andean concepts together for me and I feel like I now have a map to use to help me further develop my own relationships. I highly recommend the class if you are looking to understand the energy dynamics of relationships and to further your understanding of Andean practices and how they can be applied to your own life.”    — K.F.

“The Willka class was extraordinary. I highly recommend it, and the fascinating and powerful practice we did for working with a specific problem. We received a simple yet sophisticated tool for dealing with deep hucha.” — B.W.

“I loved the Quechua Mystical Terminology class! My understanding deepened thoroughly. Learning also about words within words brought a broader meaning to these terms of power. Learning about the Kutiy Incantation and using it in two ways—especially for soul retrieval—was an eye opener for me, another fantastic tool for my practice.”    — I.M.

“I took Joan’s deep-dive Misha class and left with my misha and myself more activated and connected energetically than since I first started working with the misha ten years ago. I recommend this class to all who carry a misha.”  —K.D.

“In the Driving the Kawsay class, Joan clearly explains why your intention and awareness are key, as well as how to use your Inka Seed as a compass. Joan taught a wonderful technique to push the kawsay [energy] and I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to understand how to [do that]. The Andean Path and Joan’s extraordinary knowledge as a teacher have been a godsend.  Awesome class!  Extremely valuable information.”  — A.H.

“The Holy Relationships class exceeded all my expectations. I feel I just received the most important teaching I have ever received in my life. It will allow to become a more flourishing version of myself and through my interactions with others plant seeds. Joan’s deep experience with the subject shined through her teaching, and the energetic work at the end brought this to a place of taking action. I am very honored and blessed.”  — S.R.

“Fascinating insight and direction in creating a haywaryikuy/despacho, offering to the spirit beings in ayni/sacred reciprocity, and using personal artistry and intention. I especially enjoyed learning about working with different mast’ay/structures and hearing stories of specific despachos from Joan’s long personal experience. [From the despacho deep-dive class] I feel I have gained a great grounding to make my own successful offerings and feel well-prepared for future visits to Peru.”  — K. B.

“The Driving the Kawsay class was extremely valuable. Learning profoundly about reality, our own influence and what we personally are responsible for or not was opening up perspectives, as always in Joan’s classes. What it means to really drive the kawsay became so clear. I loved the firsthand experience examples as they make it so easy to understand the teachings on a “live” level. Thank you so much, Joan!”  — I.M.

“I just completed the Willka Deep-Dive class. As always, Joan shared these treasured teachings with such generosity and care. The energy practice is a powerful addition to our paqo toolkit and one that I will use often to create more joy and more beauty in my life and in the lives of others. Joan walked us through each part of this very deep process, from the detailed pre-work (a powerful exercise in itself!) to the final practice in which we really get to sense the creational power of willka.” — S.G.

Inner Tawantin: Reducing Hucha, Increasing Sami

Once we are trained in the ways of Andean mysticism, we know how to release and transform our hucha. But how and why do we create hucha in the first place? In this four-part seminar, we will take a deep dive into the tawantin of the self through the lenses of Andean mysticism and the psychology of Carl Jung in order to stop creating so much hucha, know ourselves better, and live more fully from our Inka Seed. As we transform our hucha, we bring clarity to our kanay: how we know ourselves and how we bring ourselvs to others and the world in more authentic and glorious ways. This is a comprehensive course that asks us to bring a searing honesty to our past so that we can turn up the intenisty of the light that illuminates our future. There is intensive pre-work before each class, energy work during class, and multiple self-inquiry sessions with a class partner between class meetings. This is a seminar that requires putting in the time to go deep within through self-inquiry with the goal of freeing yourself from past limitations and unleashing your personal power not only to know yourself better, but to love all of who you have been, are now, and can become. This is a journey of the self from the murky depths of your personal ukhupacha (lower world) to the clarifying illumination of your inner hanaqpacha (upper world).

The seminar is comprised of four classes, with the classes spaced out every two months over the course of the year. Each class focuses on a single aspect of our inner tawantin, as overviewed below.

To take this course, you must have completed the Andean Foundation Training with Joan, Don Juan Nuñez del Prado, or a teacher trained by them.

Class 1: The Persona    The persona is the you who wears many masks, molds the self to others’ expectations, is living a series of stories rather than truths, and is generally a self-created fiction. But it is a fiction with a purpose. Those purposes are usually fueled by fears, anxieties, feelings of being less than, unexplored or limiting beliefs, and unrealized or misplaced values. By taking off those masks, reframing those stories, reclaiming your inner truth and getting to know who you are really are, you can free yourself to live a more authentic, sami-filled life.

Class 2: The Shadow    The shadow is the subconscious repository of all the versions of yourself that you keep mostly hidden from yourself. But it also provides the fuel for how you show yourself in the world (your mask, or persona). Within the shadow are neglected, repressed, denied, and abandoned aspects of the self. These are selves that had to be cast aside for myriad reasons: from not expressing parts of yourself because you feel you won’t receive the love and approval you crave to acting in certain ways to meet other people’s or society’s standards. These are the selves that are both heavy and light, both life-draining and life-enhancing. Your demons and your gods/goddesses live in your shadow, and when you free them and integrate them instead of deny or hide them, you unleash yourself and your life energy.

Class 3: Animus/Anima    No matter your actual gender or self-identity, within you lives both a male and female “energy” aspect of the self. These are your yanantin (complementary yet different) soul images: the male/animus soul image and the female/anima soul image. How you relate to your two soul images directly relates to how you know yourself and express yourself out in the world, such that you may be living only half of your potential. Your inner animus (masculine) and anima (feminine) soul images together are the generators of wholeness within the self. When you can reconcile your animus and anima energies, even reaching a royal marriage within, you will cease giving away parts of yourself or asking your partner to complete you, showing up instead as who you really are (kanay). You will feel the transformation from a partial self to a more fully whole self, and you will experience the affirming reverberations in all your relationships.

Class 4: The Self    When you do the work of the first three sessions, you will be able to more clearly, cleanly, fully, and joyously express the entirety of yourself. You are a Drop of the Mystery, and there never has been, is not now, and never will be anyone like you. When you know who you really are and can claim ownership of the whole Self, then you have refined your kanay and can bring yourself into the world with personal truth, freedom, and passion. Through the Self, you unite both your personal human beingness and your transpersonal divine beingness.

Our work in this series is based on skillfully developing and using self-inquiry strategies and shadow work as well as our paqo skills to transform the hucha we find within ourselves and to prevent ourselves from continuing to create it. There will be substantial pre-work (where you will probe into your conscious and unconscious self at home before each class), so this course requires a commitment of time and energy. The classes will be both informational and experiential, using energy work to release hucha and deepen the integration of each aspect of the self. There is also partner work (with another class participant) between class meetings.

Cost, Dates, and Times
The cost of the course is a single nonrefundable payment of $390 USD. Payment is through Paypal. We meet on a Wednesday, with four meetings spaced two months apart. There is pre-work for each class and partner work between classes. You must have completed the Andean Foundation Training to take this seminar.

Wednesdays: 1 pm – 4 pm Eastern time US:  February 25, April 22, June 24, and August 19. The registration deadline is December 31, 2025.

For more information or to register, email Joan at QentiWasi@gmail.com.

What participants have said about the 2025 Inner Tawantin seminar:

“This was such a powerful course—deeply transformative and revealing. The work could be intense at times, but the rewards were and are life-changing for me. I would recommend it to anyone who has the courage to investigate the depths of their inner world. Having done all of Joan’s classes, I would say this one is her masterpiece class. It is carefully held and structured, and the materials are excellent.” —E.D.

“Joan, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This course by far exceeded my wildest expectations, and I’m blown away by the work you invited us to do. Now I really understand the importance of connecting energy work with psychological work. Your deep insight and the structure of the course ensured we saw how everything is connected as well as the limitations we hold for ourselves. We understand that we have the power to change and create the life we dream of living.”  — I.K.

“This seminar was a masterpiece. I have done shadow work before, but this seminar was carefully designed to touch the Self in all directions: horizontally, vertically, circularly, leaving no stone unturned. Thank you for such comprehensive seminar and the practical integration with the Andean energy dynamics framework.”  — M.V.

“Joan’s Inner Tawantin class helped me see and express myself in a more profound way. This impactful course wasn’t about fixed ideas or rigid steps—it felt alive, like stepping into something significant and discovering wonder inside it. Joan’s teachings inspired me to explore my curiosity, leading me to new possibilities and perspectives. What really helped me was the mix of sharing, conversation, exercises, and direct experience. Joan’s presence and integrity held the space in a way that fostered real and lasting shifts for me. This course inspired me to open more fully to my relationship with mystery.” — S.W.

Paqo Practice Ayllus

Once you learn the Andean mystical tradition, the challenge is to actually live it. It’s all well and good to know how tolisa-mesa-and-kintu-compressed-lisa-sims-photo-2016 reduce hucha and increase sami, but how do you put the practices into use moment to moment, day after day, in your life? How can you best use your practices and energy techniques not only to meet the challenges of “real life” but also to thrive no matter what is happening locally, nationally, or globally? Many people find that they can more easily stay on track in their practice and their life when they have the support and assistance of an experienced mentor and a close community. That’s why Joan Parisi Wilcox has gathered fellow paqos into Paqo Practice Ayllus: groups of dedicated practitioners who want private “community” time with an ayllu to discuss personal issues that are coming up and challenges they are facing and wondering what the best way to apply the Andean energy techniques are to resolve these challenges. Plus, participants are free to ask about any topic of interest in the Andean mystical realm to deepen their knowledge. These Paqo Practice groups are fueled by participants’ questions, which they email to Joan before each class. If you are looking for a dedicated, heart-centered community of fully trained paqos, then a Paqo Practice Ayllu might be for you.

Please note, you must have completed the three-month Foundation Training with Joan Parisi Wilcox, Don Juan Nuñez del Prado, or another teacher trained by them to participate in a Paqo Practice Ayllu.

There are two Paqo Practice Groups: a “new” group for people joining a Paqo Practice Ayllu for the first time and an ongoing Paqo Practice Ayllu for those who have participated for six or more months or are continuing from past years. By signing up for the New Paqo Practice ayllu, you commit to six monthly meetings, with the option for new members of continuing for another six months by moving into/merging with the ongoing group. Audio and video files of each class are sent to each member after each meeting, so those who can’t make a meeting can still benefit from it.

Cost, Dates, and Times
All meetings are held on Mondays, and each is an hour and a half long, from 2 pm – 3:30 pm Eastern time US.

The fee for six months is a single nonrefundable payment of $190 USD. Payment is through Paypal.

The 2026 New Paqo Practice Ayllu will begin on Monday, January 19, 2026, and meet once a month for the next five months of the following dates: February 16, March 23, April 20, May 11, and June 15. The registration deadline for this new group is December 31, 2026.

The ongoing Paqo Practice is comprised of people who have completed the first six months of the New Paqo Practice ayllu and those who have been part of this ayllu in past years. Registration is done through personal email from me to former participants. If New Paqo Practice ayllu members wish to transition to the ongoing group after the six-month series as listed above, the dates for the ongoing group for the second half of 2026 will be July 20, August 17, September 21, October 19, November 16, and December 14.

A second New Paqo Practice Ayllu will begin in the second half of the year. We meet on Mondays and the fee is the same as above ($190 USD). The dates are July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9, and December 7.

Hampi Yachay Seminar

Hampi Yachay (Healing Knowledge) is a four-part seminar for energy workers or for those who dream someday of starting an energy-work practice. And it’s not your standard training program! This seminar is not wholly Andean based, although many of the practices will be from the Andean mystical tradition. It is not so much about learning new techniques and practicing them (although you no doubt will learn new ways to practice), but is a deep-dive into your Inka Seed and who you are as an energy worker. And then the major focus is on how you can maximizeEvolving Microcosm the effectiveness of your energy work no matter which techniques you use. You will find the learning experience of this series of four class adds up to part business and marketing school, part inspiration for finding your true calling in service to others, and part energy-work practice. Most importantly, everything discussed in this seminar adds up to an exploration of the movement from third-level and fourth-level healing to fifth-level healing, the level of the tukuy hampeq, the total healer.

There are subjects covered in this seminar that you are unlikely to find elsewhere in an energy-healing seminar, including looking at how and why most energy-worker websites are poorly done and so are ineffective at drawing clients, what kind of legal and regulatory factors may impact your practice and how you run it, how supraliminal priming of your clients can start the healing process before you even work on them, why working first with the client’s body and nervous system can maximize the impact of your energy work, how to tune energy and use each tuning, how to use rimay (verbal sacred sound) and breathing to bring your client into physical coherence so that the energy you are working with runs more smoothly and effectively through their body-mind-soul, how to make guided imagery and visualization a deep and insightful opening to healing insight and strategies, what the movement from fourth-level healing to fifth-level healing involves and why you as a chunpi paqo are especially suited to make the leap to the fifth level, and so much more. My focus is both to show you how to absolutely maximize your healing impact, which starts well before you begin the actual energy work on a client, and how to maximize your own development as an energy worker.

In addition to our four classes, I provide participants a mini-library of more than seventy pages of documents that cover a wide range of topics: website considerations for priming your clients toward healing and toward choosing you as their energy worker; how your office or treatment room is not just an office or treatment room but also a source of priming toward healing; how the kinds of clinical forms you design matter and can actually help you shape your energy-work sessions; what “narrative medicine” has to tell us about successfully using guided imagery and visualization, including techniques and prompts; techniques for tuning your clients’ physical bodies so they will flow energy during a healing session more effectively and impactfully; what a few core scientific studies of energy healing have to tell us about what works and what doesn’t; how to tune energy, especially tawantin energy, and use it; which ñawis to work and in what order for specific kinds of clients; comprehensive energy-work protocols including calling in your own helper spirits and helping clients to call in theirs; various techniques for soul retrieval; how a fifth-level healer likely works energy differently from other levels of healing, and on and on.

Cost, Dates, and Times

For 2026, our class dates are May 16, June 20, July 18, and August 15. If you cannot be with us live, I provide audio and video recordings of each class (for your private and personal use only) so that you can learn and catch up.

    1. Hi Constance,

Because the training is progressive, you have to take the earlier workshops to be able to do the final one, which is the lloq’e work. So they are comprised of the people/group who have progressed together through the training. It might be possible to do the lloq’e alone if you have gone through similar training elsewhere, but that is highly unusual, especially since I don’t know of anyone but Juan who teaches the chaupi work the way he/his teaching-former students do. You can check out the Upcoming Trainings tab under the Learn the Andean Sacred Arts to keep up with training locations.

  1. Kind thanks for your response Joan. I rather thought you would respond as you have. While i do have a lengthy (nearly 30 years) alignment with medicine work in general, and 14 years working with Andean practices-I respect that what you offer is different. The reason I inquired is because I steward 2 older lloke mestanas and find my work to be centered thusly. It may be the case that i can not afford the entire training but I will take your suggestion into considersation. Warm regards, Constance.

  4. Hi, Joan, I am interested in the retreat in June. So I’m accepting it was meant for me (at least at this time.) Pictures on Facebook of Peruvian pilgrimage were wonderful!! I’m looking forward to hearing about it from Jack Quirk. sweet munay, April Lanz

    1. Hi April, I have put you down for the week-long training in June. Yes, Peru was magnificent. Jack didn’t end up coming on our trip. But Judy Ann was there. Had a fantastic group and a magical time.
